My very first watch had a mechanical movement, not because I come from a family of watchmakers, alas no, I just happened to be learning how to read the time before the quartz movement had taken over the world. It was a Timex with a white dial, black Arabic numerals and a red leather strap. I loved that watch and would wind it up diligently every morning before going to school. It is probably in a shoebox in my parents' attic somewhere!

The Milestone line was introduced this past fall, featuring quartz modules and Roman numerals on the dial. Now, Maurice Lacroix has added a model with an automatic movement and Arabic numerals. Movement is a hand-decorated automatic caliber ETA 2824-2.

Maurice Lacroix in-house developed retrograde modules, the Masterpiece line has been expanded with the addition of this power reserve GMT model in 18kt rose gold. There is also a limited edition of 99 watches in platinum.
